The effects of global communication
There is a word which emerges frequently in recent years. This word is global communication. Are you sure that you know the meaning of this word? According to thunderbird, Global Communication is the ability to clearly exchange and express understanding through listening, speaking, reading or writing. Global communication plays an important role in contemporary social. In the past ten years, it changed the conditions of society and promoted the development of world. At the same time, globalization brought some negative effects in various aspects of our life. The interactions between countries, the development of economic and the changing mind from people are benefit from global communication. Typically, there are three advantages which I think they get more benefits from globalization. Firstly, it can promote close interactions between countries and people. global communication can help countries find partners or rivals in the world, and achieve the maximum benefit for their own country. For example, if I was a president of a country, I need to know the tax of export and import, and then adjust the most beneficial situation for my own country. Generally, there also have some official and governmental negotiations between countries. It can help countries which build up their own brainstorming in conferences or organizations. For instance, do you remember there is a organizations called G-20? It is an organization which is involved in discussing the climate change, immigration and gender equity, etc. For many countries, it is a good opportunity to get together, and find collective solutions for many problems. When a country which suffers a catastrophe, other countries may be support this country to rebuild. Secondly, it can promote the growth of business and economy. In recent years, there are some figures and charts that certify the trade between countries has developed rapidly via global communication. For example, if someone wants to buy any products from other countries, they don’t need pay a lot of expense on buying a ticket to there, just buy it in local area or order it online. It is more convenient than before because globalization brings abundant resources from other countries through the way of export and import. Not only we can buy whatever we need in local area, but also play an important role for the development of economy. Thirdly, we can have more chance to learn different cultures from other countries. It is a transform of civilization. For example, Olympic Games is held every four years, it makes people from different countries that can get together. We can know more languages, knowledge, history and holidays about other countries. Studying abroad is a way of globalization because students who from different countries can study together, and live together. It tends to be more globalization in the world, especially on campus.
Global communication also brings the increasing of employment, the coming of finance crisis, and the loss of civilization. These three negative effects can’t be ignored in our life. Firstly, the rate of employment is increasing rapidly, and people starts to worrying about how to share same resource which is so scarce in society. It is necessary to think about how to get the maximum benefit from competitions because there is a large population to share scarcities of resource or position. Getting a job or reserve a resource become difficult for everyone. Secondly, in recent years, people always suffer a frustration from finance crisis. The main reason that why many people lose jobs, and be disappointed about the lives is globalization makes the system of economy in a mess. For instance, the subprime mortgage crisis has led to the dollar depreciation, rising oil price and slower the speed of development. It lasts a long time until the end of 2009. Thirdly, as long as people accept more cultures from other countries, they start have more preference on foreign food or holidays. This is a large transition for a country’s civilization when people lose their own consciousness and spirits. What’s more, the advanced technology can be spread widely via global communication. They become lazy to do works because whatever they do, they always have ready-made products to use. People become lose their creative mind and national spirits. This is a large lethality for a country’s national power.
In contemporary society, global communication has two sides. It can promote the relationships and interactions between two countries. Generally, Export and import become more convenient than before because globalization was speeded up in our lives. Global business is one of the most important parts to be concerned, such as the corporation between peoples or countries. People have changed their conservative mind in the past ten years. They have creative and open ways of thinking to accept up-to-date knowledge. These all owe to the benefits of global communication. However, along the globalization has been promoted in the past ten years, there are some negative factors that exist. For instance, people start worrying about their jobs or anything else because there are a lot of opportunities and challenges in society. The main reason is global communication can bring many resources from other countries that occupy most of the markets in our own country. It may be affect countries’ national power.
